What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure, primarily the spine, and function as coordinated by the nervous system and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

- Association of Chiropractic Colleges

Chiropractic is based on the premise that the nervous system controls the function of every living cell, tissue and organ in the body.

It is the Chiropractic philosophy that if vertebrae are out of alignment or lose their normal motion, the energy flow along the nerve pathways is altered and less than optimal. This can lead to joint issues as well as nervous system dysfunction. We call this misalignment a vertebral subluxation complex.

Chiropractic helps remove interference to the nervous system by adjusting vertebrae and balancing spinal alignment.
